Forza Horizon 3 Game Review

There are many racing games out there, but few of them actually manage to bring in front the fun and value offered by the Forza series. And while the regular Forza game are focused more on simulation, the Horizon series has always been known for its unique, fun and arcade feel. What makes Forza Horizon 3 distinct is the fact that it brings that over the top action and it takes it to the next level unlike never before.

The game has an open world environment and it’s set in Australia. The map size is 2 times larger than the previous entry in the series and here you can actually enter coop if you want. The campaign revolves around creating a huge Horizon festival and you do race around the country and have fun without a problem.

What I like in regards to Forza Horizon 3 is the great attention to detail and amazing graphics. You have to explore the stunning Australian world and everything looks nothing short of impressive. Not only that, but you have 350 cars to choose from and all of them are amazing to look at. They really stand out, not to mention you can always upgrade them if you want more power under the hood.

The racing feel is amazing. You can easily find yourself getting from one place to another and wanting to get more of that action packed gameplay, that’s what really helps set the game apart when compared to others and it really brings an action packed experience all the time. The races are very interesting and many times you will find yourself wanting to explore more and more of this frantic gameplay.

You can also find challenges scattered all over the game world and by completing these you can unlock a whole lot of stuff. The level variety and sheer massiveness of the open world make the game a lot more distinct and unique than what you saw before in a racing game. There are some races that are very long and tedious, but most of the time you don’t have to worry about these at all. It’s the variety of races that makes the game stand out and each time you play you will find yourself wanting to get more and more.

The game also enables you to hire or fire racers since you are the festival director. They also provide you with the means to make custom races all around the map. I found that to be quite interesting and fun, especially since it does bring a new allure to the title and new gameplay options.

I particularly like the fact that this is one of the first Play Anywhere games, so if you do buy it on PC you can play it on Xbox One and the other way around. This does make the experience a lot more impressive, especially since you can share saves and achievements between platforms.

Overall, I consider Forza Horizon 3 to be one of the best racing games ever made. It’s a ton of fun to play, it’s really interesting to check out and it does have a ton of content. It’s one of the games that you should definitely consider purchasing at full price!
