Pirates of the Caribbean is back in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Who would’ve thought that a small park attraction could become one of the biggest movie franchises in the “recent” years. Well, that’s the case of Pirates Of The Caribbean. It all started with a small park attraction but back in 2003 they went on and make it into an spectacular movie, full of action, adventures, jokes and of course, pirates! And so on they went on and made three more movies, all of them making it to a big hit in the box office. Between the four movies they’ve grossed US$ 3.7 billion worldwide, that’s quite a hit.

The fourth movie was released in 2011, 5 years ago already, and left us waiting for more. It was also a big hit and ended up paving the way for a new one to come, however instead they went to take a 5 years hiatus but now it’s over, and the pirates are back

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales is the title of the new yet to-be-released movie of the franchise. It will hit theater in May 2017, but we already know some things about it.

The movie will introduce us to a new menace of the sea, Captain Salazar (played by the spanish actor Javier Bardem), a merciless and cruel captain that just escaped the Devil’s Triangle and is now on a mission to kill all the pirates left, and specially to take on a personal revenge on our dear Captain Sparrow. As usual, follow the new adventures of the eccentric but great Captain Jack Sparrow as he’s trying to find the Trident of Poseidon, for it is said that whoever possesses it will have complete control over the sea, thus saving his life.

The trailer was released this past week and it showed us the darker tone and thematic of the movie as the threatening Captain Salazar in his revenge driven search for Captain Sparrow. movie will have some old characters back such as the pirate return of Captain Barbossa )Geoffrey Rush), Will turner (Orlando Bloom) and many more, and also a new female protagonist called Carina Smyth (played by Kaya Scodelario). It will also have a rather special addition to the cast. Sir Paul McCartney himself will have a role as a “distant relative” of Captain Sparrow.

McCartney’s not the first musician to join the Sparrow family, remember that the Rolling Stone Keith Richards already played the role of Jack Sparrow’s father. And Johnny Depp himself is a musician too.

We’ll have to wait for more information on the movie, but so far it looks like it’s going to be one of the best movies of the franchise.
